The Western Cape coastline is one of the most biodiverse places on Earth, but it is under threat. From stranded whales and dolphins to entangled seals and critically endangered African Penguins, these animals urgently need our help. Thanks to this generous sponsorship, we now have a dedicated 4×4 Hilux that can immediately respond to strandings, injuries, and entanglements across the coastline from Rooi Els to De Hoop.
This vehicle enables us to reach distressed marine animals faster than ever before, saving lives that may have been lost to time, stress, or plastic pollution.
When not on emergency call-outs, this hero-on-wheels will also support Project Storm, our innovative initiative stopping plastic before it reaches the sea by installing net systems on stormwater outlets.
