Enriching Young Minds

As part of our environmental education programme, the Dyer Island Conservation Trust (DICT) and
Each child made a plastic promise, which they signed, mentioning various ways in which they will help the environment, like taking a material or plastic bag to the shop instead of buying one, picking up plastic on the road, not littering etc. They also learnt about recycling swop shops and were encouraged to participate in the scheme.

At the end of the afternoon we watched a live feed on the big screen showing us how the penguins at APSS were fed and then we were treated to a really great song by all the girls about litter, which was a fun way to end a lovely afternoon with the Enviro-Club.

Many thanks to Gina for inviting us to be part of this venture we are looking forward to many more exciting afternoons ahead!
